BLUE JAZZ - LYNN MOORE RHODES

In an age of amplified non-music, it's always a surprise and pleasure to discover the work of a singer who can sing real melodies and guarantee that her listeners can understand all the words. Lynn Moore Rhodes is such a singer, something eminently clear in her latest CD, BLUE JAZZ. Lynn, an accomplished actress, singer, and songwriter, has clearly been influenced by her favorite vocalists, Pearl Bailey and Nina Simeone. Lynn Moore Rhodes likes to put an original spin on vintage classics and make them sound new again. But she also has been writing her own songs for years and they reflect many a mood, a unique combination of romance with a touch of melancholy.
